Use Cases#
There are many things you can use disco for. Here are a few ideas:
Studio Displays#
In the studio, disco can display classic "Broadcast Lights" (Mic, Phone, ON AIR) together with clocks, status tallies, news feeds and webcams on the same screen. You can edit the views according to your requirements.
Newsroom#
disco can help you to stay in control of all incoming news. Place several news web pages next to each other on a big display or have disco cycle through a list of URLs automatically. Combine webcams with clocks, newsfeeds, web TV streams and social media pages.
If you use disco as touch control platform, you can use it as a building block to integrate with A/V equipment, TV devices, monitor walls, signage displays or IPTV systems. Of course this requires control interfaces on the equipment and an integration project.
Engineering#
Many broadcast and IT systems provide web pages for status display and system control. If you are an engineer, you can use disco to built overview dashboards or specialized views for a closer look to certain systems. Place dashboard displays in the office or in the public space to show the "big picture" of your infrastructure.
Sync Displays#
You can configure a disco instance to follow another one. This is useful if you have a big newsroom with several displays that all show the same content. This feature is only available in the BASIC Edition.
